SUMMER READING! #summer2018 #bookaday

Today is June 1 and to me, June 1 = SUMMERTIME! And, Summertime = time for #bookaday!

I have been participating in Donalyn Miller’s #BookaDay challenge for years now. I am ALWAYS sharing books I read on social media, but this challenge inspires me to do it each and everyday. This is the 10th year of the challenge and it’s easy to participate. Basically, just decide a beginning and ending date (for me, June 1 – August 10), read books, and share the books you read on social media! You do not have to actually READ a book a day, just SHARE a book a day…for example, let’s say you are reading a novel and it takes you two weeks to read it. On the day you finish it, share it on social media as your #bookaday! Sometimes, you may read 4 picture books in one day – share them all in the same day or space them out for 4 days…it is really up to you on how you do it, but just DO IT! Not only are you sharing great books and getting ideas from others, but hopefully you will be inspiring others to read throughout the summer and maybe you will form a new habit of reading!

Cannot wait to see what you read this summer!
