What Are You Reading? was first hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. If you’d rather follow folks who are reading books for grown ups, you should follow her Monday meme. I am participating in the kidlit version of this meme (although sometimes I actually read books for grown ups).
Oh, Goodness! I have fallen down on my blogging job! Now that the holidays are here and things are settling down a little – here’s an update! I promise I have been reading!
In print: Finished reading The Marvels by Selznick and Naptime is the New Happy Hour by Wilder-Taylor. During the past month, I have enjoyed the Babysitter’s Club Graphic Novel by Raina Telgemeier. I LOVED this series so much as a kid. I just ordered the “old school” ones for my school library and am currently enjoying The Baby Sitter’s Club #1: Kirsty’s Great Idea by Ann M. Martin. So refreshing to read something that does not mention texting, social media, or emails – I gotta say. I am also currently reading Roller Girl by Jamieson.
Listening to: I LOVED The Circle by Dave Eggers. After The Circle, I listened to YOU by Kepnes. Oh my. This book had me blushing the entire time, but was SO GOOD. If you like Stephen King, I think you’ll like this one! I’m almost finished with Everything, Everything by Yoon. Really enjoying that one. About to start Bringing Up Bebe by Druckerman.
Reading to Baby: I read to my little every single day. Right now, we are doing this wonderful idea for Christmas called #25BooksofChristmas. Basically, a book advent calendar counting down the days to Christmas. I’m sure you’ve seen it on Pinterest. LOVING IT! Most of our books are board books, of course. Cannot wait to continue this tradition year after year! I share a picture each day on my personal Instagram and FB.
