BABIES Story Time Theme

Babies…they are cute. And, they were the theme for this month’s Lion Cub Story Time!

I made a playlist on Spotify of songs about babies.

Name tags were bottle shaped.

I started with The Baby Goes Beep by O’Connell

Then I did this “Poor Little Baby” flannel board activity – when you click on the link, scroll down…it is the second one she talks about on the blog (I got both of my flannel board activities for this story time from the Libraryland blog, actually).

I read I Kissed the Baby by Murphy

We did the “Sweet Babies” flannel board activity from Libraryland.

I read Shake It Up, Baby! by Katz (this book is really cute, by the way…I think I might have to buy it for my own baby). I gave my friends at story time maracas from the music teacher to shake along with the book.

We did an easy craft – bibs! Idea for craft (and for many of the books I read) came from this blog post.

Our snack was Teddy Grahams…because what baby doesn’t like teddy bears?

There will still be Lion Cub Story Time while I am out on maternity leave. However, I left plans for themes that I have already done, so you already know about them! The BABIES theme was in honor of my own baby…arriving any day now (but, hopefully in two weeks…her parents still have some things to do 😉 )
