#imwayr It’s Monday! What are you reading?! 1.12.15

What Are You Reading? was first hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. If you’d rather follow folks who are reading books for grown ups, you should follow her Monday meme. I am  participating in the kidlit version of this meme (although sometimes I actually read books for grown ups).

In print: This Star Won’t Go Out by Earl. This book breaks your heart. It is about teenager, Esther Earl (actually, it is BY Esther Earl and her parents and friends). Esther was a Nerdfighter and very active on social networks. While The Fault in Our Stars by Green was already written (or in progress) when Green learned about and met Earl…you can see a lot of similarities between the main character of FIOS and Esther. I’ve been putting off reading this book and I wish I hadn’t. It’s good.

Listening to: Finished the Andy Cohen Diaries by Cohen last week. I was so sad for it to end! It had all of my favorite stuff – Bravo, gossip, Housewives, Andy Cohen, dogs…so good! And, even better, it was read by Andy Cohen. Now I’m listening to Girl Online by Zoe Sugg – not the most thought provoking story, just your average teenage love story. But, it’s cute. I’m enjoying it. Apparently, the author is some sort of internet “sensation” for teens? I’ve never heard of her, but I’m old, so there you go. I’m following her blog now!

What are you reading?
