Pumpkin Story Time Theme

The October Lion Cub Story Time theme was PUMPKINS (an old favorite)

We listened to my Pumpkin Theme Story Time Playlist on Spotify.

We had pumpkin nametags.

I read Creepy Carrots by Reynolds.

We read and acted out the board book, Pumpkin Faces by Rose.

We played “pumpkin toss.” I made a big pumpkin on a science fair tri-fold board and cut out eyes, a nose, and a mouth. The Lion Cubs tried to throw beans bags into the holes.

I read The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything by Williams (with all the movements)

I did my favorite cut and tell story about a little old lady who lives in a funny shaped house.

Our craft was  making a pumpkin using pony beads and pipe cleaners. The idea came from this blog.

The snack was a Little Debbie pumpkin brownie.

So fun!
