Maker Corps Camp Week 10 @make @makeredorg #possibilities #myjobisfun #summerlearning

This was my first full week with guests as a Maker Corps member AT my Host Site! It has been a great week. The first day was spent researching ideas and then organizing them for the monthly activity calendar. The next few days were spent helping with Maker Summer Camps. We explored a MOSS kit (which I had heard of, but was new to me) and everyone was very excited when it worked!

We also built a birdhouse…

and made Art Bots (not in the same day, of course).

I must say that the BEST part of the week was the EdVenture Mini Maker Faire. I spent the day helping families learn how to solder and make photo booth props. During my lunch break, I got to spend some time exploring vendors and they were all just AMAZING. A favorite of mine was two teens from Greenville (IT2Pi) who teach coding and Computer Programming to others. We should all probably remember their names because they are going to be so famous in a few years. For real.

Can’t wait to see what next week brings!
