What Are You Reading? was first hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. If you’d rather follow folks who are reading books for grown ups, you should follow her Monday meme. I am participating in the kidlit version of this meme (although sometimes I actually read books for grown ups).
In Print: Finished If You Find Me: A Novel by Murdoch. So heart wrenching, but so good! About two sisters who are kidnapped by their mother and left in the woods. I started Guitar Notes by Amato yesterday. Seems like it is going to be a cute middle school “love” story.
Listening to: Still listening to Imperfect Birds by Anne Lamott. Good mother/daughter/family story.
For school: The school year is over, so I am changing this part of #imwayr to FOR school (instead of AT school)…I do lots of professional reading over the summer, so I’ll tell you about that reading here. This week, I’ve been looking through books to get ideas for Makerspaces. A few of my favorites that I looked at (or looked at again) over the past week are Tinkering: Kids Learn by Making Stuff by Gabrielson, Recycled Crafts Box by Martin, and Unbored by Glenn.
What are you reading?
PS – I am participating in Donalyn Miller’s Sixth Annual Book-a-Day Challenge this summer…it will be my third year participating. You can follow me on my library Facebook page, Goodreads and on Instagram to checkout the books I read this summer (#bookaday). I will mention many of the books I read this summer in my #imwayr blog posts, but chances are, I won’t mention ALL of them 🙂
