#imwayr It’s Monday! What are you reading?! 6.2.14

What Are You Reading? was first hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. If you’d rather follow folks who are reading books for grown ups, you should follow her Monday meme. I am  participating in the kidlit version of this meme (although sometimes I actually read books for grown ups).

In Print: Finished Summer of the Gypsy Moths by Pennypacker – so good, once you get into it. I just started If You Find Me: A Novel by Murdoch. I’m not far into it at all, but it seems like it will suck me in very soon.

Listening to: Finished Emma Donoghue’s Frog Music. I liked it, but not as much as I liked Room. I do not think I would have finished it if I read the print copy. I liked the reader on this audiobook and I think that was part of the reason I kept going. A good story, but it did not pull me in as much as I thought it was going to. I’m now listening to Imperfect Birds by (guess who?) Anne Lamott. This is the first fiction I’ve read by her AND the first audiobook by her that she did not read. I like it better when she’s reading, but now that I’ve gotten over that and more into the story…this is a good book.

At school: DONE with my classes!

  1. Just finished “If I ever get out of here” by Gansworth. Excellent Read. Just finished listening to “Zombie Baseball Smackdown” definitely better than it sounds for adults; kids will love it. Starting John Green’s Paper Towns and then i will have finished all his books so he better get writing
