Week 37 @npeslearningcommons

The days are going by VERY fast now! It is so busy at school with end of the year practices, activities, events, etc.

This week, we spent a lot of our time helping teachers and students get ready for Leadership Day (which was on Friday). Each grade level focuses on one aspect of leadership to present to parents and others who come to our school on Leadership Day. We helped kids with research; we helped them create PowerPoint, Keynote, and 30Hands presentations; and we helped teachers figure out logistics of sharing all of this with parents and special guests. The day was wonderful and our kids (and teachers) did a great job.

Besides that, we promoted Book Fair this week (which is May 27 – 30). I had a celebration on Friday afternoon for students who completed my Book Award Challenge. For the celebration, they were invited to visit the Book Fair before anyone else (even teachers). I had snacks, a photo booth, Twister…I thought it was a lot of fun. After the bell rang, teachers came in for their preview where they filled out their classroom wish lists.

That was about it! Doesn’t sound like much, but we were a busy space all week long! Just like we like it! 🙂 How was your week?
