#imwayr It’s Monday! What are you reading?! 3.3.14

What Are You Reading? was first hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. If you’d rather follow folks who are reading books for grown ups, you should follow her Monday meme. I am  participating in the kidlit version of this meme (although sometimes I actually read books for grown ups).

In Print: Better Nate Than Ever by Tim Federle I just started this book on Saturday and OMG, I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! I totally want Nate to be in my life as a real kid. Such a good sense of humor and I’m thrilled to learn that there is a sequel! I already know I’m going to miss Nate when I finish the book…so, the sequel will help.

Listening to:  Mad About the Boy by Fielding I was reading the print version of this last week, but now that I’ve met Nate, I’m glad that I can finish this one in my car. It’s better on audio, I think, because the reader has a British accent (of course) and that just makes it that much funnier because you really feel as though you are reading Bridget’s diary. In between this one and Orange is the New Black, I read the very short, but VERY GOOD (like, GO READ IT NOW) Help, Thanks, Wow by Anne Lamott.  This is one of those titles that you just want to go buy for everyone you know (I guess you all know what you’ll be getting for Christmas this year). Loved it.

At school: Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss! We’ll be sharing Seuss titles all week long!

What are you reading?

Reading YA graphic novel (a first) called “Blankets”. I am surprised that i am enjoying it. I consider myself a text person. Also listening to Jim Dale read the “Emerald Atlas” and i linger a bit in my car so i can listen just a chapter more. 🙂
