#imwayr It’s Monday! What are you reading?! 2.17.14

What Are You Reading? was first hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. If you’d rather follow folks who are reading books for grown ups, you should follow her Monday meme. I am  participating in the kidlit version of this meme (although sometimes I actually read books for grown ups).

In Print: Finished Will Grayson, Will Grayson by David Levithan and John Green last week. It is no secret that I love John Green, but David Levithan is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I enjoyed this book. Now, I am reading Skinny by Donna Cooner. Another young adult novel. This was is about a girl who goes through gastric bypass surgery. She is only 15 years old.

Listening to: Finished The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd on Saturday. SO GOOD. The actors on this audiobook are fantastic. This book was excellent and the Author’s Note was so interesting. Cannot wait until my next trip to Charleston. I plan to take myself on a tour based on this book. I am starting Orange is the New Black by Kerman next. I LOVE this show on Netflix…if you haven’t watched it, it is worth a watch! The new season starts in June, so now would be a perfect time to watch…once you finish all the shows, you won’t be left waiting a YEAR OR MORE (like me) to watch new episodes. Just sayin’

At school: Book Award book for this week: Chopsticks by Rosenthal (never got to read it to kids last week! Too much snow!)

What are you reading?

Just finished listening to “Jefferson’s Sons”. Wonderful reader; fascinating subject and great story. Now going to go look for some grown up books on the subject.
Need to find new book to read and another to listen to.
