Still here!

Time for your monthly summer check in! Hope you are still doing well, readers!

The summer is just about officially over for me. We have our school registration tomorrow; an all day professional development on Wednesday; and then my plan is to be working (at school and out and about) on Thursday and Friday. Next week, we are back at it, full time!

I’ve been busy thinking about my first week of lessons and thinking about planning meetings with teachers…keyword here is THINKING…it is time to get some WORK done to prepare for these things! I have done some work setting up new things in the library – my dad put in some book gutters for me so that we would have more display space. I bought baskets that I want to put my series (or at least some of my series) in to make room in our fiction section and to highlight those books a little better. I have some ideas for displays that I want to get up…so much to do! It will get done…I just need to keep telling myself that, right? 😉

I am looking forward to school starting. I like having a structure to my day and week. I like being around the people I work with, so I am looking forward to seeing them. I especially love our little lions and am SO READY to see them and to see how much they’ve grown over the summer. I will go back to updating the blog weekly with lessons and events that happen in the library.

Enjoy your last few days of summer, friends!
