It’s Monday! What are you reading? 9/3/2012

What Are You Reading? was first hosted by Sheila at Book Journeys. If you’d rather follow folks who are reading books for grown ups, you should follow her Monday meme. I will be (mostly) participating in the kidlit version of this meme (at least I think so….right now).

It’s Monday! I’m reading some new stuff – finally!

Listening to – The Last Song by Sparks I am really not a big Sparks fan. But I am a fan of listening to books in my car and there were slim pickings the day I went to RCPL for a refill of material. I am not hating this book though and it is starting to get good. It took 4 CDs to get into it – I’m glad I stuck with it!

On the iPad-Wild by Cheryl Strayed This is an Oprah bookclub book. STILL. I don’t like to read on my iPad, so I am reading this when I find myself waiting for things and I have nothing else to do. It is next up in the car, so I’ll be getting to it soon!

In print- The Age of Miracles by Walker I just started this last night and I really like it. Something is happening to the Earth’s “field.” It reminds me of one of my favorite YA novels: Life As We Knew It by Pfeffer

If you are off of work today – ENJOY!

  1. I’m still waiting on Wild from the public library… I’m curious to hear if Sparks’ audio books make you cry. 🙂 I gave him up years ago after being tired of sobbing for 100 pages at the end of every book!

  2. YEP! I cried! Not as much as I could have though – I was warned ahead of time!
