*Pinterest! OMG – like I really needed something else to waste time on – first was Google + (which I’ve kind of already become bored with) now Pinterest, which I don’t really see myself ever becoming bored with. This site is great for professional and personal reasons. Great for teachers and librarians because if you are looking for a new way to do something or you are looking for inspiration (classroom design, prizes, quotes), you are going to find it here. Beyond teacher stuff, it is just plain fun to look at what people are wearing, how they are decorating their house, what they are making for their Christmas parties, just EVERYTHING. I can’t stop pinning things. If you want an invite, let me know. Thanks to Sharon Matney for giving me this new addiction. I have you to blame 🙂
*Green smoothies. I mentioned the clean eating yoga workshop I went to a couple of weeks ago. In the workshop, Cate Stillman talked lots about green smoothies and their benefits. Around the room, my fellow yogis in the workshop talked about the greatness of their green smoothies and I think they may have brainwashed me 🙂 Who would have thought that a smoothie made of spinach, kale, yogurt, ice and watermelon could be so yummy? Or maybe one with spinach, yogurt, ice and cantaloupe? SO GOOD! One of these days I’ll get into the good clean eating habit of drinking my smoothie in the morning and having my peanut butter fix in the afternoon, but this habit (english muffin, peanut butter, banana, coffee = every morning of my life) is hard to break!
*My RED Prius. 4 or 5 years ago, walking around the Toyota dealership, I got the Prius bug. At the time though, I ended up buying another Toyota, but never stopped thinking about that red Prius. So silly, it’s a car, right? Well, with the help of my life advisors (mom and dad), I finally decided to just trade in my current car and get that red Prius – I do a lot of driving and while gas prices have seemed to level out, they aren’t getting any lower. Hopefully, the Prius will help with my gas budget. Plus, it is so darn CUTE! Now I just have to wait for MY Prius to get here. The next red Prius that is anywhere close to Jim Hudson Toyota in Irmo is MINE!
