Storytime reflection

Park North storytime (ice cream theme) was yesterday.

A couple of reflections:

*Not going to post theme and such until AFTER storytime. That way, I can include reflections and pictures.

*I am moving storytime up an hour…not sure if I mentioned this, but I am doing storytimes when the public library Bookmobile comes to the apartment complex. This is new this summer. We thought they would be there longer than they were…they got there at 2:30pm and only stayed 20 minutes. My storytime was scheduled for 3:30pm, so by the time I got there the Bookmobile and the kids were GONE. So, storytime was special for 1 little girl yesterday. I don’t mind small storytimes. I did revise the plan a bit…we  read the Curious George book and made ice cream (it worked!). Next time, I’ll pretty much do the same storytime again (with all of the other activities planned)…except, I will change the read aloud. I was excited when cleaning out my Google Reader this morning to find that my FAVORITE, Mo Willems, has a new Elephant and Piggie book out called “Should I Share My Ice Cream?” So, we’ll read that book and everything else will remain the same. I cleared it with my 1 storytime friend. She said that she’s okay making ice cream next time too 🙂

So, it’s all good!
