Blogs, Podcasts, and Wikis-Oh My!

Blogs, Podcasts, and Wikis-Oh My!

BASIC presentation

ADVANCED presentation

This is a presentation I am doing on Thursday, March 15 at ETV in Columbia. I am doing 3 sessions total, two BASIC and one ADVANCED. The BASIC sessions will be an introduction to blogs, podcasting, and wikis-what they are and how to use them in the classroom or library. If there is time, we will sign up for a blog and a wiki.

The ADVANCED session will start with what is a blog…; what is a wiki….’ what is a podcast and then we will share how we have used these tools in our teaching. We will create a blog and a wiki acccount (if not already done) and we will create a podcast using podOmatic, a very easy to use online way to make and store your podcasts.

I have found in my other blogging and podcasting workshops that what is mostly needed is hands-on, questioning time, so I hope to be able to provide that!

Maybe I’ll see you there?!

Want to start your private office arms race right now?

I just got my own USB rocket launcher 🙂 Awsome thing.

Plug into your computer and you got a remote controlled office missile launcher with 360 degrees horizontal and 45 degree vertival rotation with a range of more than 6 meters – which gives you a coverage of 113 square meters round your workplace.
You can get the gadget here:

Check out the video they have on the page.
